77: Surviving The Postpartum Shuffle
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Sleep-deprived parenting has a special way of making everything feel urgent, from a baby rolling over at 2 a.m., to a toddler quietly wandering the hallway. We’re Tajuana and Sheree, and we’re back together talking through the real stuff: postpartum survival, the mental load, and the tiny systems that keep our days from spinning out.
We get honest about mental health after baby, including ADHD medication logistics, PMDD weeks, and what it’s like to tweak Zoloft while you’re still trying to function at work and at home. We also zoom in on the “small but huge” topics that parents rarely compare notes on, like whether your week starts on Sunday or Monday, and how a pill organizer can either save you or sabotage you.
From there, we bounce through community and connection: virtual book club dreams, in-person meetups, and the awkward truth that making mom friends can feel like speed dating with strollers. We also talk practical postpartum problem-solving, including screen-related headaches, new glasses and blue light lenses, sleep regression realities, rolling and swaddle transitions, and the safety anxiety that comes with kids who can open doors and find the stairs.
We wrap with what self-care actually looks like right now: skincare when we can, fresh air when the weather allows, and tools that help us feel a little more human. If this felt relatable, subscribe, share it with a friend who needs a laugh, and leave us a review. What’s one “tiny fix” that’s saving your sanity lately?
Flodesk is an amazing, easy to use platform to draft and send emails; their templates are beautiful.

Welcome And Real Life Bedtime
SPEAKER_00Welcome to Turn the Page Podcast.
SPEAKER_02Sisters, Best Friends, and French enthusiasts.
SPEAKER_00With relatable episodes that feel like you're chatting with two of your closest friends or sisters. Join us as we turn the page to different topics about library, motherhood, adulthood, anyhood.
SPEAKER_02And finding yourself again through meaningful friendships, endless piles of unread library books, and endless Amazon package deliveries. Real, honest, and a little bit as we talk about it all.
SPEAKER_00So grab your favorite drink, put the kids to bed, lace up your sneak, or whatever you need to do, and join us. We can't wait to connect with you. Welcome to Turn the Page Podcast. This is Towana, one of your co-hosts.
SPEAKER_02This is your other co-host, Sheree Page Barber. Guys, you're getting a live recording of my oldest. He's just so cute though. Are you gonna let me record?
SPEAKER_00Bye. Bye. Go to bed. Go to bed. Daddy's calling. He just said, Where are you at? Bye. Alright, guys, that was real life. Are your children sleeping right now? Yes. Praise you. Absolutely praise you. Okay. Well, guys, we're back. I was gonna say we haven't been back in a minute, but we have because we did the June book club in July.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but that was we did June and June. The May and June. No.
SPEAKER_00No, we did the June book club in June.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but that wasn't like podcast. It was podcast, but it wasn't like a topic.
SPEAKER_00So the last one.
SPEAKER_02Like we didn't do the rosebud thorn.
SPEAKER_00Well, because it was book club.
SPEAKER_02I know, that's what I'm saying. It's like different from the regular podcast structure.
SPEAKER_00We did do your book. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Well, this is the first one we've done, I guess, just me and you.
SPEAKER_00Yes. Before, since before Bronson made his entrance like way too crazy. My god, it was probably last year.
SPEAKER_02I was thinking, was it wasn't? Was the last time in the car when we went to see the housemaid? It had oh no, we had to have done that.
SPEAKER_00Did you know oh you did know you were pregnant then. And we tried to record, but then Zoom, it was eight months ago that we did it together. We did plan it out where we had episodes stacked, and then I did a bunch, and then when you're on maternity leave, you did a bunch. So it ended up working out. Yeah. Because we had recorded a bunch before just to like because you knew that time period was gonna be half of the team. So I already had planned ahead. Yeah. So it actually worked out like business-wise, it worked out. Yeah, I mean it was fine.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00So why don't you update us? It's now August. Your baby was born in April.
SPEAKER_02You've forgotten our structure, our rosebud thing.
SPEAKER_00It's been so long. Okay.
Rosebudthorn And Med Changes
SPEAKER_00Rose that we're back together doing this.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00It's been a minute.
SPEAKER_02It has been a minute.
SPEAKER_00My bud. I have finally properly, hopefully gotten my ADHD meds in order.
SPEAKER_02I've been hearing that a certain one has been like on recall. Adderall.
SPEAKER_00Been on recall. I know Adderall's been like.
SPEAKER_02Sorry, not recall. Back order. Thank you.
SPEAKER_00I'm not on Adderall.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_00And then also I have figured out I guess my PMDD issues, not issues, but I have upped my Zoloft for those two weeks out of the street.
SPEAKER_02Does it feel like it works?
SPEAKER_00Well, this was the first week I did it. I just because I prepare my supplement supplements like on Saturday for the following week in my pill pack after I take it for Saturday, obviously. So I ran out of like my increased dose of Zoloft. I think the last one is like Wednesday or Tuesday. So I quickly put an order into the pharmacy.
SPEAKER_02That has actually been on my list to bring up on the pods specifically. What? So this is just a quick digression. No, not really. Like, what do you consider the start of your week? Is it Sunday or Monday?
SPEAKER_00Why do Sunday?
SPEAKER_02See, mine's Monday.
SPEAKER_00Are you thinking work week? I'm thinking whatever the traditional start of a week was, is which is a Sunday.
SPEAKER_02No, like I'm not going based off of like, no, like Monday is just the first day of the week to me, and Sunday is the last. And so my pill thing, my pill organizer goes Sunday to Monday, and it throws me off because I refill it Sunday night because Monday is the start of my week. So I always have like Sunday left. Yeah, it throws me off.
SPEAKER_00Okay, so mine is Sunday to Saturday, my pill pack. And actually, it's just all blank because it has it's cheap and it's from the Dollar Tree, but I can count and I know my days of the week. So I no longer need for the first one to say Sunday because I know what it is.
SPEAKER_02Well, and yeah, I have the AMPM one because I've been trying to be intentional about like when I take certain supplements and like not taking supplements at the same time. Yeah, and it just throws me off. So I have that on my list of things that I wanted to discuss. So yeah, interesting.
SPEAKER_00I'm glad it came up in discussion. But um the only ones I take at night are Ashawanga and magnesium, but the proper one, so I'm no longer dizzy. What's the proper? It's like magnesium glyce. Glycinate? Yeah, there's another one. I think that's the other one that was making me dizzy.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, something with a C or something.
SPEAKER_00It was the way my body was or wasn't absorbing it, I guess.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I took the glycinate too.
SPEAKER_00Did I take it tonight?
SPEAKER_02Yes, I did take it tonight.
SPEAKER_00Can I just say
Book Clubs As Social Lifeline
SPEAKER_00update? So we got a we got a new coworker. We have a new member of our team, and she is a huge reader. And you're gonna love her because we were talking about reading, and she was like, she is really into reading and was trying to find an in-person book club because she's in the military and like you know, she moves around a lot. So when she moved here, she was like, I wanna find like an in-person one because she had one where she last lived at her last like assignment or whatever, and she found one, but it was like she's like, it was too far for me to justify driving that far for an in-person. And then she was like, You because we were talking about like dating, or like for her, I was like, have you tried speed dating? And she said, like her friends have tried it, and like it's mostly women there, and like the four guys that are there, only one's like slightly attractive, and it's like four guys versus like 30 women. Yeah, and then she's like, you know what? I would do she's like, if I owned a cafe or a bookstore, she's like, I would just allow people to host like monthly dating events there. I was like, that is genius, but like through like whatever the event is, it could be book club, it could be like you have a book club meeting at the cafe, but she's like, I feel like that would be so much more successful.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I do like that idea. I thought you were gonna say the monthly book club, because I was like, Yeah, that's what I'm like looking for.
SPEAKER_00I told her I she was like, I was like, Oh, we have one. She's like, Oh, really? Where is it? I was like, Oh, it's virtual. And she was like, really, why? I was like, girl, because our kids right now. But I was like, but we are trying to like branch out to do in person. And I told her that I would send her the info, but I forgot to get her info. I sent her the info, but I she is a huge reader and she has a huge audiobook as well. But yeah, I was like, Oh, wait till I tell my sister because she was like, I found an in-person one, but it was just too far for me to justify driving that far.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and I wasn't really like interested in in-person book clubs when I didn't have kids, and now of course I'm fine, I'm seeing them everywhere. I'm like, oh, that's so nice.
SPEAKER_00He has been to one or something when she's like, It's the silent book club. I was like, Oh, somebody that I like I hate the word follow, it sounds so cool. That I that is a friend on Instagram that's a community member, hosted one of those, like at the bookstore, and I think it was in Westminster.
SPEAKER_02Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. My thorn, the other side of it is adjusting my meds, which is like so annoying.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that is hard.
SPEAKER_00So yeah, all right, you're next.
SPEAKER_02My
Screen Strain And New Monitor
SPEAKER_02rose is I got a big ass monitor to like mirror my laptop screen.
SPEAKER_00So do you hook it up?
SPEAKER_02My husband hooked it up. I'd have to do it.
SPEAKER_00No, I'm saying, like, do you hook it up together?
SPEAKER_02Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Like an HDMI cord, yeah. And he set it up yesterday. Uh what's crazy though is that I had to get like a separate webcam, like it's frickin' 2000. Like, I guess monitors don't have yeah, I think a lot of monitors don't have integrated webcams, or if they do, they're like not great quality.
SPEAKER_00I'm looking at ours behind my laptop right now, and it has a webcam like built up.
SPEAKER_02Like in the thing, yeah. But I think that they're not as a good, I don't know, and I'm not sure. They know that.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and then like if something's wrong with it, you have to replace the whole monitor instead of the webcam, blah blah blah. So yeah, that's my rose because I'm very excited about.
SPEAKER_00Are you using it right now?
SPEAKER_02No, because I didn't want to mess with the audio and then have just like half the podcast be like you and then me and silence.
SPEAKER_01To silence.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, exactly. But I tried it out yesterday and I think I got like all the settings squared away, so I'll start using it for work Monday.
SPEAKER_00Okay. Did you test the audio to make sure that you can like that it'll work?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I did like a few Zoom recordings.
SPEAKER_00Okay, good.
SPEAKER_02To see, yeah, because I was like, I can't, I know. And then like trying to figure it out in in the moment and then having to be like to like redo it, yeah. Yeah, so yeah. I always want to say the negative for Bud. Bud is something you're grateful for, something you always question. I do. I overthink.
SPEAKER_00I'll just okay.
SPEAKER_02I'm looking forward to tomorrow.
SPEAKER_00Okay, yes, same. But I was saying it could be like hard, but something you like learn from it. Like I did mine like caveat dressing mud sucks, but when you finally get it, at least for a certain time period.
SPEAKER_02I'm gonna work around. I'm just gonna go and order. My bud is tomorrow. We're doing the sweat and sip with Sarah, our honorary sister.
SPEAKER_00Can I just time out? Because Sarah literally was like, What type of day is it like a dress day? I'm like, girl, it's a workout.
SPEAKER_02That was so cute. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And she was like, Oh, I guess there will be no dress. And then you asked if we were changing after. I said, I had zero intention of changing after. Like, where am I gonna change?
SPEAKER_02Winery. But that's also just very like the porta potty? They have a bathroom there.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_02I think that's all it also just speaks to like like where you are in life. In a good way, you just like can't be bothered. Whereas I'm like, oh, this is like Girls' Day, like we should get dressed up, like let's change. But that's it.
SPEAKER_00Because also after we do pound, I'm gonna want to shower. I'm not gonna put on nice clothes. So I'm just like, this is what you get.
SPEAKER_02That's what I was thinking too, like just going to brunch like all sweaty, but maybe if we sit outside, it'll just counteract it. Yeah. Anyways, I'm looking forward to that. I'm a little nervous for pound, so maybe we report back. Maybe we should do a whole series of like trying new workouts.
SPEAKER_00Okay, remember we tried a series trying new things.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah. Let's add pickleball and pound to the list.
SPEAKER_00Well, we still have to do pickleball, it reminded me because we could wear we need to get like a um a dress a dress.
SPEAKER_02Well, yeah, we can't do pickleball until we get the dresses.
SPEAKER_00So but remember I asked you to join a team and you were like, but don't we have to learn how to play first?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, because those are like it's like open play. People come and they like know the goals. And they know what they're doing.
SPEAKER_00I know. And we're gonna be learning as we go. Apparently, the tennis court is not the same as a pickleball court, because I was like, Oh, I have a tennis court, and then apparently we have a new a new pickleball court at work, and from the people of my friends that play, they said that it sucks. Like, I wouldn't know otherwise. Okay. Yeah, we need equipment first, but because it's like I would like to learn, but I would like to learn from somebody who knows how to, but I also don't want to pay someone to teach me.
SPEAKER_02I don't know if it's like a we research the rules first and then just go and wing it.
SPEAKER_00In a pickleball court with our you with our phone popped up with YouTube, being like, Okay, this way, okay, that way, this, that.
SPEAKER_02Well then what do we get a coach? We need a friend who's already played.
SPEAKER_00I'm not paying a coach. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. No, we need a friend.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, they need to just come teach us. Yeah. So that's my bud. Thorne is was this my third week? Yeah, my third week back to work. The amount of headaches and eyes that I've been having because I've been staring at this little screen. Well, yeah, but my eyes, I think, just changed from pregnancy because it happened with Sage too. My prescription changed.
SPEAKER_00Have you do they have blue light blockers on prescription eyeglasses?
SPEAKER_02You can. So one I got one pair that does, so that's like my work glasses now. So I like switch them off because I don't like wearing them when I'm not looking at a screen, because then it also feels like I'm straining. It's just annoying.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it's weird because I also heard you're not supposed to like technically wear them like outside in the sun.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, so I do they're just for when I'm in my little bunker, as I call it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02But yeah, it's been rough. I have been like having to when I go upstairs for the evening, I've been having to like close my eyes because my eyes are just so tired from staring at the screens and it being so little. So that's why I got the bigger monitor. Hopefully that will help. Because yeah, it was rough. And I think just like not doing it for a few months and then coming back, my eyes were like, what the fuck? For real. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
Maternity Leave Memory And Survival
SPEAKER_00So yeah. Well, this is your second maternity leave down. How was it different versus the same?
SPEAKER_02That's such a hard question because and I'm sure I've said this before. Honestly, my maternity leave with Sage is like I was blacked out. Cause our mom said something to me the other day. She asked me how something was handled like last time, and I was like, girl, I do not, I don't remember. I have no memory. Like my brain was offline. Yeah. Yeah. So I guess that's a huge difference. I actually felt like semi-conscious this time around. It's still weird to think back on things though, because it still felt like a blur. So I'm like, oh yeah, that did happen, or we did do that. But I'm not like, I genuinely cannot recall. Like, first maternity leave was trauma brain. This maternity leave was just like survival mode.
SPEAKER_01Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_02Like slightly less intense.
SPEAKER_00So didn't you or your hubby get COVID during then?
SPEAKER_02Oh my god.
SPEAKER_00And then I thought about this the other day, and I was dying laughing because you guys obviously had to like separate in the house. And you just had like a month-old baby. And he would like frequently like call down and be like, What are you doing? And you're like, What do you think I'm doing?
SPEAKER_02I would have to leave orange juice for him at the steps. You're like, of course. Yeah, because he just went back to work and then he got sick. Sage was seven weeks old. He got COVID. Then I was scared to give it to her, so I'm wearing a mask with her. I'm like up with her all the time.
SPEAKER_00And you're like, you're like to move downstairs. I had to like move in downstairs with her because we couldn't go upstairs. So I had to move all of her stuff downstairs.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that was actually crazy. And I was like still pumping at the time because I was like, oh my god, if she does get it, like the inner like everything from the breath. I just yeah.
SPEAKER_00And then Did you get the COVID shot when you were pregnant with her?
SPEAKER_02I think I already had it. Okay.
SPEAKER_00I don't think I Because I got one when I was pregnant with Harry. Yeah, I think I had just gotten a thing with RJ because it was 2019.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. But then two weeks after that, we got food poisoning from one of those like meal kit delivery boxes. Yeah. That was fucking rough. That was a rough time.
SPEAKER_00Luckily with food poisoning, it literally like it comes in like a wave and it's brutal, but then it's gone like in 24 hours.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but the tough thing was that we didn't get hit at the same time. So he got it first, and I'm like, uh fucking course, like solo parenting it again. Again. And then he got better, and then I got it. So yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that's like when I mean, just like when anyone gets sick in the house, like your kids bring something home, and then like it just goes throughout the house, and it's like one after another. So it's like as your like partner is like slowly going down, you're like, okay, like I'm good, like taking care of the kids, and then eventually you're like, No, like it's just so awful. But that like always happens with like the stomach butt because it decides it wants to hit everyone at different times.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and then you're either sick taking care of well kids, or who got taking care of sick kids, or you're depleted from taking care of the kids before you got sick. Like it's just a loose loose.
SPEAKER_00You go from cleaning up poop and pee and throw up because your kids are sick, to you like nearly dying on the bathroom floor because you now have it. Yeah. And you're like, just take me, like I can't do this anymore. Well that was the worst 24 hours.
SPEAKER_02Last week we it was our first like both kids are sick week. Sage got sick and then of course gave it to Bronson because she's like always just in his face. And yeah, and now he's bless his heart transitioned into a sleep regression. So I'm like, and people are saying this one lasts like a month long. I'm like, great.
SPEAKER_00Well, I think I love how it intentionally lines up with him rolling over so he no longer can put his arms in the swaddle, so it's like even worse.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it's a triple whammy right now. But I think that that also ties in because it's isn't it like a sleep regression is a new skill, like new skills.
SPEAKER_00Well, that's right. I like looked it up because I I never like calculated when they went through one. It's just like RJ just like was a horrible sleeper anyway, so whatever regressions everywhere. Yeah. Harrison, I was like, oh, maybe he's I never like paid attention to that. It was just like I always felt like I was always awake anyway. But I looked up something, it was almost like they were like, they're up, they just wake up and they just want to try all the new things they learned that say, and I'm like, a four-month-old? What are we doing?
SPEAKER_02So I rolled him on his belly to do tummy time right before I put him down. I said, get all your tummy time out now. We're not rolling in the because that's it's like what bittersweet. Like it's this sucks. We're not sleeping, but then you come out of it and we're like, yay, now you're like doing all this really cool stuff. You're like awake to the world, but took us through the trenches to get there.
SPEAKER_00So But yeah, and maybe that's what it was because I woke up, I don't know if it was in the middle of the night or whatever, and because you put him on their back, yeah. My homeboy Harry, when he was Bronson's age, decided he wanted to roll on his belly in the middle of the night. And I said, What the fuck is going on? Was he in the swaddle when that happened? I can't remember, but he was still in the bath nuts, so he was still in our room. But I did not sleep that night. Sure. Because I was like, this kid's gonna suffocate himself. I was like, what am I supposed to do? Yeah. So I I mean, I feel like at that point, if he wasn't, then we took the arms out. His he did way better because RJ, their father called it a starno reflex, which I guess like looked up, it was also the first kid, so you're like, What's going on? But RJ had it bad. Like it was almost like they feel like they're falling, so they're like, Oh my god. Yeah, Bronson's still like Yes, and it like, but I feel like Harry was just like cruising. And then also to put him in the crib, I knew it was time when Homeboy decided he wanted to stand. That's how he woke up. Stand up in the bassinet. Obviously, he wasn't saying he was like, you know, holding on to it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But it was like five, six months. I'm like, bro, one wrong move, and you're flipping over the bassinet.
SPEAKER_02Well, my sage was out of the bassinet three, four months. I could not sleep next to that girl. We both would just wake each other up all night.
SPEAKER_00Like why? Oh, she would just like smell you and wake up.
SPEAKER_02I would hear every breath she took, like, and then if she took a longer gap in between a breath, I would wake up like, oh my god, and then like stare at her belly to make sure she was still bre all. Yeah, you sound like narcotic. But that was like, I mean, yeah, I that was obviously my postpartum anxiety, but yeah, and I was like, you gotta go, girl. So she was in the crib at like four months, and then I actually got some sleep. He's in the crib now because I'm in the nursery, like I have a bed in the nursery. It's a hotel. It's the dorm. We call it the dorm. My little twin-sized bed.
SPEAKER_00But it's just like, yeah. So I think they went around in the crib around like the same-ish time. Yeah. But like now, Harry doesn't sleep in his own bed and sleeps next, whatever. He's sleeping.
SPEAKER_02Same, same.
SPEAKER_00They're sleeping, it's fine.
Night Wandering And Home Safety
SPEAKER_00But then RJ wants to come in because he feels I'm like, oh my god. Anyway, but like far cry from where we came from, because I remember many a night on both of their floors, and I was like, Yeah, I could barely walk because it fucks up your back even more. It's no matter how you try to like fluff up the shit, it's not comfortable. You're literally sleeping on like a fluff carpet underneath like a wooden board. Yeah. I guess it's better than sleeping on like hardwood floor, but I'm like, none of this is comfortable.
SPEAKER_02That is different this time, too, because last time we just had the our room and Sage's room, so there was no like extra space. So, like getting up with her, I had the rocking chair in the bedroom. So I'm like sitting in the dark in the silence because I don't want to break wake Brandon up, and then there was no other place for me to sleep. So I'm like either in the bed or in the rocking chair. So this time around, I knew I needed I got a sleeper chair. We had it in Sage's room, but then I moved it into the nursery, so I have like a place to sleep.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that our rocking chair for RJ actually never made it to his room because dad would just like do nights, so he would just like hang out down there. So it eventually just came like part of the living room. Yeah. And then we just got rid of it, I think, after the cats, because Delch used to. To pee on it.
SPEAKER_02Oh, so annoying. I hate when they do show like that.
SPEAKER_00But then Harry had like uh one of those like soccer chairs that you would take to the soccer field.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, the stadium chair.
SPEAKER_00So that was like the rocking chair, but like that's comfortable when you're sitting in it. But when you have like a 30-pound year old child and you're I'm like, I can't get out of the seat.
SPEAKER_02No, because you need both hands to get up and you're like holding him with one hand.
SPEAKER_00But like your knees might give out because you're, you know, you're not 16 anymore, and you have this like baby goat in your hand. And then the minute they the minute their head hits the sheet and they realize they are not in your embrace, it's like a war. Mm-hmm. But have you do you remember that meme or like that real? Like you put the baby down, then he like ninja out of the room.
SPEAKER_02Yes. Army crawl. Yeah, it's a mess.
SPEAKER_00My God, I do but girl, many a night's on their floor. Oh my god. And you would wake up, and I mean you'd go to sleep with them in the crib, you'd wake up at different parts of the night, and you just wake up for the day and they're on the floor with you because it's like I'm not gonna keep getting up from the floor.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I I did that a couple times pregnant too. Oh same. And like I have my pregnancy pillow as if that was gonna help something. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00I'm like, I'm my body's not made for this right now, or like I just I'm not yeah, that's not good right now. But thank god those days are over.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Now it's just how do I get them back into their own bed? They have they have no problem being in there during the day when the sun is shining. But some I'm just like, I literally want I just go to your bed.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Because now I can't She sleeps in the dorm with you. Yeah, she sleeps in the dorm with me. And so we had a couple nights where like, because before I moved up to the dorm, I would just sleep on the couch. We would sort of take turns on the couch, and there was one night I woke up to her walking down the stairs. I was like, oh my god, she's like in a sleep sack, it's dark as shit. Terrifying. No, yeah, no, no.
SPEAKER_00Your stairs are terrifying for adults.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, so we're not doing that.
SPEAKER_00So now the anxiety is my girl has been sleepsacked since she like has just got rid of it. She's almost four.
SPEAKER_02She's not, no, no, no, because no, we're gonna wear it as long as it fits because it's not a sleepsack anymore. It's like a it's the wearable blanket. It has the legs, she has legs now.
SPEAKER_00It has little like your feet got rid of their swaddle at like six months.
SPEAKER_02I was like, my homegirl's walking in her sleep. Because they have the ones you can walk in. Don't do that to her. This is not a swaddle, this is a wearable blanket because yeah, whatever. She loves it. It's part of her night routine. So yeah, I was like, now I can't sleep until I know where she's gonna end up.
SPEAKER_00Oh my god, yeah. That's why I always had to, we always had to have that was also the phase, which you'll probably have to do this too when he starts painting. So he doesn't, you know, they denture their way out of the crib once they learn the she only did that once. Make up out of the crib. And we had a like we always get into fights about like putting the gate up correctly because it's takes so much and I would get so lazy, I would just hate doing it. But then I'm like freaking out. Like, what if they get up in the middle of the night and fall down the freaking stairs? They can't reach they can't reach the light, and then when we still had the cats, they would jump over it or they would crawl under. And then of course the one for the basement, because the basement stairs are terrible.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. No more gates in this house. We have one waiting, but they have like different kinds now. Yeah, they do. That's what we're gonna need for the stairs because it's a wall on one side and then the railing on the other side.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02So we can't do the suction one, but then she's had nights where like we would leave lights on so she would just come into big bed, our room. And then I don't know, I think she just knew I was in there, so she would just she now she doing the camera. Garping brother watched her get out of her bed, open her door, and turn immediately right, and she just comes in. The other night she opened her door, closed it behind her, opened brother's door, closed it gently behind her, and just crawled in bed. I was like, hey girl, come on in. So that's where we're at now. And now most nights, if I'm like, I want to go to bed at 9:30 or 10 and she hasn't woken up yet, I'm like, I'm just gonna go get her because I can't sleep until I know that she didn't go to take her off first. Because God forbid I look at the monitor and she's gone.
SPEAKER_00I'm like, Well, didn't she do that before and she's sitting in the hallway?
SPEAKER_02No, the one time she did it, Brandon got her, but I didn't know. So I'm like panicking, spiraling, and I texted him, and he of course fell asleep, so he didn't answer. I eventually dozed off, and then they just like walked out the room in the morning. I was like, I and then the one time she walked all the way down to the basement.
SPEAKER_00But I mean, no, so wasn't one time you like heard her, you thought she was going to the bathroom or you were in the bathroom because it was recent, because Bronson was here, and you're like, I look on the camera and she's not there, and you're like, she knows how to open the door now. Cause I think you're like, she was sitting at the bottom of the steps because she was hungry or the top of the steps.
SPEAKER_02I don't remember that time.
SPEAKER_00Because you're like, she usually comes into her room but she's like, she did it, and I didn't see her on the camera, and I was fur Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02She was just standing in the hallway, yeah, and she was just like kind of looking around. But the the one time she walked she she walked all the way down to the basement because I was in the nursery and she didn't know yet. That was like when I just transitioned. So she came downstairs and didn't see me on the couch, and she just kept going. Brandon said she c he came to the basement and she was like, Mommy? Well, like, there aren't many places I could be down here. So my gosh, I can't. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00We do have a hall nightlight, actually not anymore because I had to use it for something else.
SPEAKER_02But that's yeah, we have one too.
SPEAKER_00So, you know, they can find their way, but it's pitch dark. And your oldest F you has like 16 nightlights because he's terrified of the dark. Really only like three plugins, whatever. And then he cannot close his door, it has to be like cracked enough so he can see the light. Your youngest doesn't have a doorknob anymore because he used to lock himself in the room. Oh yeah. And we just never bothered putting it back on because I'm like, he lit, but like that was there's just so many like leaps and bounds, and it's like we got through one stage, now we're on to another, but it's like new fears. So when we would be in the room with them when they were still younger, you would just close the door because they can't open the door, so you're just like in there while they're playing. No, when they learn how to open the door, you're like, I can't even take a nap in here because I wake up and they might be down the stairs if I didn't put the gate up properly. So you're like, I just, you know, it's like those phases where it's like you can't open the door yet. I know if I take a nap, you'll still be here when I wake up. You can't go out the window because I'm sleeping by the window. But it's just like now they know how to open the door. Like now I'm gonna have to be wide awake while you're in here playing at 4 a.m.
SPEAKER_02Our bed is up high now, too.
SPEAKER_00Like, and then when you learn how to lock the door, then you like of course, every kid when they first learn how to lock the door, they always lock themselves in. They have to coach them how to unlock it without freaking out. Yeah. But then Harrison, like, didn't refuse to open the door because he was mad. So their father got like, you know, it's like really simple to take off, but he's like, I'm coming in to get you because he refused to open the door. And now when like he closes it, there's like a way to do it because the doorknob is off if you get like a pencil to like undo the lever. Yeah. But we used to remember growing up, we had the different doorknobs, and you had the key on top of the ledge. We don't have those. No, we don't. Mommy's like, well, what about those keys? And I was like, we don't have that type of doorknob.
SPEAKER_02No, I don't we don't either, now that I'm thinking about it.
SPEAKER_00But there is a doorknob. Oh, someone told me this. And oh yeah, someone at work told me this because I think their nephew is autistic. And yes, they because she said her brother. So they have like these doorknobs that people get for children who are autistic or who like have like have issue, like door issues or whatever. So I think you like install it on like the door frame and like it it makes it so it doesn't close all the way, but like you put it high up because you can like latch it, but if you put it super high, the kids can't like play with it. So it's like I've seen that. Yeah, I was like, oh, that is genius. Yeah, yeah. It's like flat kind of. She didn't, I mean, she was describing to me, she didn't have a picture, but she was like, So if they try to close the door and like you know, they have a history of like locking themselves in just like they can't close it all the way, and they also can't reach it to like adjust it because you have to just make sure you put it out way out of their reach. Yeah, the other thing is just sometimes like kids who sometimes she said that they had to do that because he would sometimes like run away and like run out of his room and like they wouldn't know where he was, and obviously it's dangerous when he's a kid in two, he's autistic, so it's like I need to make sure I have all eyes on you at all times. Yeah, yeah, that's a lot. Yeah.
Food Parasites And CSA Produce
SPEAKER_02I was also just thinking about like the feeding phase because I mean, yeah, that's like coming up soon. But I as you were talking, I was listening, but I was top thinking, like, we haven't discussed this the parasite outbreak yet. I have not been you have you've heard with the lettuce.
SPEAKER_00Yes, you do. There's there's still parasites on lettuce?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, the cyclo or whatever.
SPEAKER_00Well, I thought the latest one was berries.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it's like you don't know what you don't know what is safe.
SPEAKER_00Well, I just had a salad last week from my CSA.
SPEAKER_02I've well, that's different. I feel like local it's different. I have not been able to have a salad and so.
SPEAKER_00Have you been scared?
SPEAKER_02Yes.
SPEAKER_00Can it kill you?
SPEAKER_02No, but who wants explosive diarrhea?
SPEAKER_00I mean, nobody, but I heard that's for like if like don't eat the berries, you'll have explosive diarrhea.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Well, they were like, they didn't know at first what it was. So it was like anything that has like rough edges, you have to wash it really well because it can hide in the edges, like strawberries or like blackberries. Or like if they're if the part that you eat is exposed. So like citrus was fine, avocado was fine, bananas, like those are all fine. But yeah, so I I was like telling Brandon, like, don't bring home pico, don't bring home berries, don't bring home lead, like don't bring any other.
SPEAKER_00Why not pico? Because it's tomato.
SPEAKER_02You don't eat yeah, but it's you eat it cold. They were saying you can kill it if you heat it up or like took it. Yeah, so I think where did it come from?
SPEAKER_00Like, are farmers using like bad pesticides or something?
SPEAKER_02No, I think it was it's like maybe I shouldn't use the name and get sued, but it came from a certain farm, I believe, in Mexico where like a lot of distributors get their lettuce from.
SPEAKER_00Okay, so specifically lettuce, okay.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I mean, yeah. I don't know about the other stuff anymore. I personally have returned, resumed eating berries, but I have not eaten.
SPEAKER_00I mean, so have I. And I just had some fabulous blueberries from Jean's Green. Shout out to them in Westminster. Jean with a G. Okay. And you go all the way to Westminster for some blueberries. Blackberries, honey. And no, that's my CSA, they deliver to mommy's house.
SPEAKER_02Yes. She just told me someone knocked on the door at 11 p.m.
SPEAKER_00She was like, Potatoes. Don't do that. But it was her neighbor.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, she told me.
SPEAKER_00I was like, wouldn't that be funny if he works in the same place? Yeah, that was. Immediately when she's like, he works in produce, I thought of produjunction from home. I was like, oh, he's taking up extra produce they don't they didn't sell for the day. Um, but I gave away those red belt peppers at work. Too bad. Yeah. And they're like, you need someone to take this off your hand. My co-worker said, I said, I said, I don't wanna, I'm not gonna say the same, but I was like, I don't want to walk out of here with a pepper in my hand.
SPEAKER_02My gosh.
SPEAKER_00And people like devo well, like they devour them there, but they like took them for like dipping and stuff with hummus.
SPEAKER_02I really I don't know if I can commit to this, but I really admire people that are able to like have their own gardens. I just saw this video of this lady who had like a full garden in her backyard and she's like, Oh, here are my jalapeno peppers. We eat these every day. Here's my banana peppers. Like a full garden. I think.
SPEAKER_00Doesn't your husband have an herb garden?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Do you ever use them? Not really. No. Does he use them? No.
SPEAKER_02So he's just growing it just because I think that he just likes the act of like growing something from scratch.
SPEAKER_00Funny, our cousin's calling us right now.
SPEAKER_02Which one?
SPEAKER_00TW. But he has children for that.
SPEAKER_02I know. Yeah, I don't know. Cause I think yeah, his mom is always like, oh, that one's ready to go to like a bigger pot. Like maybe some corn that's sprouting, some uh He's growing corn or butternut squash. In the house, but no, outside in our front little garden area. But I want the one like people like walk through and they have their tomatoes on a trellis and they can pick spinach. Girl, we don't have time for that. I know, but I just admire people that do and can commit to it. Because the one the video I was watching, she was like, It's too late this season to do da-da-da, but I'll try again next season. I was like, girl, I might not even be interested in gardening next year.
SPEAKER_00So the thing with that is if you for produce and to be like a good gardenerslash farmer, you have to know when to put them in the ground.
SPEAKER_02You have to know when to put them in the ground, you have to know what kind of pests they attract, how to like keep it.
SPEAKER_00Makeup to CSA because I tried with our community garden and I failed because I had to go over there all the time and water. But yeah, well that's different.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. It's not like right in your backyard.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. So I had to get um sorry. I had to get um, I got actually I think kale out of that. I was able to make like a salad. It was like kale or spinach, but this week with uh or last week with CSA the CSA produce pick, I got a rainbow shard that they have. So each Monday they send a list out of stuff that's like so I think next week is like the ninth week, ninth of nine of thirteen weeks of summer like the produce and stuff, yeah. It's like whatever they have like on the list, and it's forty two dollars for six items, and then plus you get produce from a bonus list. And then I also ordered a loaf of sourdough. They do that too. Well, they have a bake, they I think they partner with a bakery, and you can like buy and they also have like fresh flowers, but and like they'll deliver all of that, but the only problem is that like they deliver them like I think Wednesday or Thursday, and like I'm not home, and like that one or it's been it was super hot last week. But in June and July when we had that like awful heat wave, they were telling people to like make sure they put coolers out because the produce would just go bad. I was like, Yeah, I don't just deliver them to my mother. Yeah, but yeah, and then I got honey crisp apples. I'm excited for like the fall produce, it'll probably be like more I didn't know I didn't know apples grew this time. I thought they were just all fall. I guess it depends what type of apple.
SPEAKER_02No, because I feel like you do apple picking like late summer.
SPEAKER_00No, you do apple picking in the fall.
SPEAKER_02No, we've gone in August. Or like they start in August.
SPEAKER_00Then how come apples are like a thing of the fall?
SPEAKER_02Honestly, everywhere is starting like fall stuff in August.
SPEAKER_00No, I mean like apple, like apple pie is like Thanksgiving, and then it's like you know what, you might be right, because there's always well, there's always bees when you're apple picking.
SPEAKER_02Yes, that's what I was referring to.
SPEAKER_00But I thought it was because of like the sugar.
SPEAKER_02Maybe.
SPEAKER_00I don't know. Um remember we picked strawberries that one year? Yeah, I do. I think we missed that. I think it's in June. It's it was in May because I w well, it was probably like May through July or May through June, because I wanted to go while we were home, but the place isn't stroller friendly, so I would have had to swear him and like pick yeah, so I would love to pick peaches, white peaches though, because I tried a regular peach with my last CSA order, like the previous one, and apparently I'm still allergic to the fuzziness. Like regular yellow peaches, like my lips start tingling. It's the skin.
SPEAKER_02Oh, I didn't know you were allergic to the colour. I didn't know either.
SPEAKER_00Like I riff I found it out in Mel Laurel. I mean, I diagnosed myself because I would eat a peach and my lips would be f would be like tangly after.
SPEAKER_02That's how that's what happens to me when I eat kiwi.
SPEAKER_00I was just gonna say, even if like you take the skin off.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, people eat the skin on kiwi.
SPEAKER_00Apparently, you can eat it, it's good for you.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it's the green part, I would eat it and my lips would like burn and tingle. So I haven't had a kiwi in like decades.
SPEAKER_00There's another type of kiwi out there.
SPEAKER_02Wouldn't know.
SPEAKER_00It's canary kiwi or something.
SPEAKER_02They're yellow.
SPEAKER_00Maybe.
SPEAKER_02Have you ever had a golden berry?
SPEAKER_00Don't they look like grapes or like a bigger one? No, like a goji berry?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but they're like yellow.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, but also there's some tomatoes that are that color too.
SPEAKER_02I don't I by default I'm so used to saying I don't like tomatoes. That's not true anymore.
SPEAKER_00But you're like Daisy, because I also got some tomatoes in my bag and I was like, Do you want some? She goes, You know, I don't want tomatoes.
SPEAKER_02I mean I don't, I really don't like them. I don't hate them the way I used to, but yeah.
SPEAKER_00I also got slicer cucumbers divine. They called them slice, they call them slicer cucumbers.
SPEAKER_02Oh, I think you said sliced turkey cucumbers.
SPEAKER_00No, and they also have pickled cucumbers, like the ones that people use for pickling.
SPEAKER_02Oh, I didn't know there was a different kind of cucumber for that.
SPEAKER_00Yes, apparently. I have not ventured into that industry and I probably won't, but apparently, like it's easy.
SPEAKER_02Pickling.
SPEAKER_00People pickle all types of things.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00You just put it in a mason jar with some stuff.
SPEAKER_01Some stuff. Yeah, like vinegar.
SPEAKER_00No, I think it's vinegar. That's all pickles are. Cucumber. Yeah.
Postpartum Self Care That Sticks
SPEAKER_00So what have you been doing differently? Like taking care of yourself?
SPEAKER_02And like what was the biggest tangent. Just you circled back. I forgot that was the topic.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. I just remembered. What have you been doing differently to take care of yourself this time around?
SPEAKER_02Weren't you napping? I was. That's not as easy to do like solo parenting. I might doze off.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, when he was home.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Oh, you meant like maternity leave? I thought you mean now.
SPEAKER_00I mean, you could talk about now.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I was napping. I've been trying to now that I can use all the products again. I've been trying to keep up with my skincare. Mm-hmm. Being outside, that was easier to do on leave though.
SPEAKER_00Like since it was like in the middle of winter.
SPEAKER_02No, no, no. Like earlier this leave, since it hit like late June, July, it's just been either storming or just too hot. And I can't take him outside when it's like 90 plus degrees.
SPEAKER_00Right, because he was that poor child was sweating last time we were there.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, so that's been harder to do, but that was helpful at the beginning.
SPEAKER_00At least you guys have the deck this time too, and it's not in the middle of winter.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah. I try to use it when we can, but it's just like I feel like it's always storming and always raining, so then the mosquitoes are out. It's just a hot mess. Yeah. And I think like trying to stay connected and like trying to find different communities. I joined so many Facebook groups for like local mom things. And then Sage had our little social club. She had like summer camp and ballet. So like trying to put myself out there and like meet new mom friends, but it's discouraging when nothing really comes of it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02So I've just kind of paused on that, but I was trying to do that for a little bit.
SPEAKER_00Maybe if you go into it with not that intention, so you won't be upset if it doesn't happen.
SPEAKER_02That's what I was doing, and then it would feel like we were vibing, so then I would be like, let's exchange numbers or like let's get the kids together. It is, and I hate it because there's like you skip so many steps because you have so much in common as moms. Yeah. But then yeah, it also comes down to like just personality. So yeah, it's that's been a journey.
SPEAKER_00And you have revamped your glasses collection. I'm loving the ones you have.
SPEAKER_02I had no choice, yeah, because my eyes were destroyed. I went to the eye doctor because I yeah, when I don't wear my glasses now, it is fuzzy. It's bad.
SPEAKER_00Don't you get contacts? Come on over.
SPEAKER_02No, it's so scary. What if they get stuck and you have to cut them out?
SPEAKER_00Okay, they have gotten stuck, and you just go in and get them out. They've never had to. I don't do I'm not playing with LASIK. Get that thing away from me.
SPEAKER_02No, that's how I feel about contacts.
SPEAKER_00No, I've had them since I got them for my 13th birthday. Mommy and Daddy said I can get them for my 13th birthday. Which means I've had them for many a year.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. No, I'm I'm liking the glasses now because you can make them like an accessory and switch the I'll show you my work, my blue light ones. You should be wearing them now. I was thinking that and I yeah. So yeah, I went and she was like, Yeah, you your prescription got worse, your astigmatism got worse, and like Yeah, you're almost blind. Yeah, well, she said that like I cross my eyes like when they're tired. Because I I have to like work really hard to get them straight.
SPEAKER_00I mean, I guess it's your eyes doing like your brain or whatever.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and I'm like, well, yeah, I'm tired because I'm not sleeping, and my eyes are yeah, so like it's been a journey. So with that being said, I got prescription sunglasses.
SPEAKER_00Daisy was talking about getting them.
SPEAKER_02Are they? I would have to decide between squinting because it's bright or squinting because I can't see. So now I don't have to decide. The only caveat is.
SPEAKER_00Like I have to still switch, so like if I'm going inside, I have to take a fine, but my glasses on, but yeah, I probably could only wear them when I have my glasses because it's like uh you can't do prescription top prescription, not gonna wear them with my contacts, so I feel like it would be a waste of money for me. Why don't you get some transition lenses?
SPEAKER_02No, because I remember our mother, and if you go inside and it's still a little bit bright, or they're like delayed, then you just have sunglasses that you can't control or turn, and plus they're so expensive.
SPEAKER_01Bet they are.
SPEAKER_02It's fine. I got four pairs of glasses and three pairs of sunglasses.
SPEAKER_00I didn't know people had like I didn't so I also got on that train. I got two new pairs. Yeah. I didn't I was like, who knew you could have so many pairs of prescription glasses you can choose from? I was like, it's like a necklace.
SPEAKER_02Well, unfortunately, though, when your prescription changed, I know you're now I just have three or four pairs of sun or glasses that I can't wear anymore.
SPEAKER_00I wonder if you can give them to like charity, but not everyone has the same prescription, obviously.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I don't know if it feels weird to throw glasses out.
SPEAKER_00Well, I mean, I still well, I feel like I've kept my old glasses because it's like, what do you do with them?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I keep them, I just don't wear them.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Because even getting these, well, getting the new prescription for the first time, my eyes hurt adjusting, and it was like, don't switch back to the other ones because your eyes, yeah. I'm like, Jesus Christ.
SPEAKER_00My eyes are like, it's been so fun, but there's been companies that have been making bank because it's like an accessory. So it's like I'm now obsessed with like big frames. So I got one big frame and I got smaller frame, but it's just like you can accessorize, and I'm like, who knew?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I'm into the gold, like metal frame. Okay. I think all of the ones that I have have some sort of like gold accent. So that's my vibe now.
SPEAKER_00I mean, sometimes I don't feel like putting my contacts in, so I'll throw my glasses on, but I'm like nine times out of ten a contact wear. Because when I have glasses on, I feel kind of like restricted because the prescription obviously is different because it's not on your eyeball. What I now I just love my contacts, but sometimes they're really annoying. But I have found mascara that because I have had in the past mascara that messes them up and like I have to I can't wear them because it fucks up my contacts.
Website Revamp And Podcast Housekeeping
SPEAKER_00But speaking of that, we our new website, guys. When we're gonna keep talking about this until you're sick of hearing it, until you just go to it without even thinking about it. Got a revamp. So I've been blogging more, but I put out my first Tawana approved cozy clothes, I think, or comfortable something, like a few weeks ago. And then I put out another one this morning about things that I wear every day, and like, but the mascara was one of the ones on there, and it's Thrive mascara, but yeah. So yeah, guys, I've been blogging more, love it. I always update our podcast when it drops, but Apple has been really I don't know what they're doing, but I had to email them and they still have yet to get back to me. They told me that someone will look into it and get back to me. They I forgot I think it was the birth story that I noticed this, that it like started doing this. For some reason, they no longer share the transcript. Weird. Like on Apple, and it irritates me because that's what like like not that I use it, but like it just looks off because like all the other ones before that had the transcripts, yeah, and like that's part of like what like the cool thing with Apple is, but I emailed them because I was like, what's going on? And I have like clocked, like automate transcript, and it doesn't do it. Weird, it's annoying because I'll put the transcript into chatty to like help with like posts and stuff. Because sometimes if you share the link, it'll shoot out something else. I'm like, that's not what this episode is about. But if it's the transcript, it's easier, obviously, but it like disappeared. They no longer like put them on our episodes anymore.
SPEAKER_02That's weird.
SPEAKER_00It is weird.
SPEAKER_02It's off to see if it does it with this one.
SPEAKER_00Um, it has been doing it since the birth episode.
SPEAKER_02Oh.
SPEAKER_00So I emailed them and they said, you know, we'll have someone look into it and get back to you. So that's really annoying. That is annoying. Um, what else? I don't even know. We've been going strong for 53 minutes.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I was just looking at the time too. I do need to go relieve my husband.
SPEAKER_00Yes, it's after nine.
SPEAKER_02Well, he's probably already asleep, but Sage's gonna wake up soon. I swear I just heard something. I'm like, She's on her way to the dorm. Yeah, she's gonna be.
SPEAKER_00I've also been using under-eye masks. And then I'm gonna switch to dermatology. Is that how you say it? Yeah. Without the E.
SPEAKER_02Without any vowels. It's literally just consonants.
SPEAKER_00I thought it was D-R-S-T-O-G-O.
SPEAKER_02It's D-R-N-T-L-G-Y. No con or no vowels.
SPEAKER_00Huh, fascinating. I'm gonna get those after I run all the ones I have now. But then I also got a red light mask using my FHA FHA card because you could do that. I am and it's also as a neck thing to it because people care about the neck.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00I don't, but I just it came with that.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00But I want to start doing that. They said like 10 minutes is good.
SPEAKER_02I was using yours for a little bit, but I don't live in that room anymore.
SPEAKER_00I did get you one, yes. When you move back in there, you can. It'll be there.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, someday.
SPEAKER_00You're God, sleeping on a twin-sized bed girl. I'm so sorry.
SPEAKER_02With my three and a half year old who likes to sleep horizontal in the middle of the night.
SPEAKER_00Does he wake her up when he wakes up?
SPEAKER_02No, she sleeps through it for the most part.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. RJ did too, like when Harrisman wake up. Like, thank God.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Because I'm like, I wish I could sleep through like that.
SPEAKER_01Burping brother, what are you doing? I know.
SPEAKER_02Like, girl, please.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Okay. Well, I hope you're not up too much tonight.
SPEAKER_02Thanks, me too. He had four wake ups last night. So poor baby.
SPEAKER_00Let's aim for three tonight. But it's just like you read all these things, like feed them more. I'm like, I do, and they still wake up.
SPEAKER_02No, but he'll like take half of what he normally takes and then pass out, and I'll try to give him more. And he like clenches his gums tight, so I can't push the I'm like.
SPEAKER_00And you were like, I'm so sick of you having these little snacks.
SPEAKER_02Like, no, we're not doing this. Just for you to be up in an hour.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02No.
SPEAKER_00My baby.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And then also that age, if they don't, if you don't burp, because they can't burp themselves yet. So you're like, like my children, I know, if you didn't burp them or if they didn't finish, they would wake up screaming. Somebody pick them up. Yeah. And then I'm like, okay, back to sleep. No, we're like, what? So, yeah, girl. Blessings to you. Good vibes. Thanks. It's only a season. Blessings, thanks. It's only a season.
SPEAKER_02It's fine, and we'll be fine. Alright,
